New Most Excellent Poster Arrives For Bill & Ted Face The Music
It has been 19 years since Bill S. Preston, Esquire (Keanu Reeves) and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan (Alex Winter) last went on their Bogus Journey, in which a villainy fiend created a couple of android doubles of the duo (naturally) who were sent back in time to kill their real counterparts. All pretty regular goings-on, to be honest. It was a journey that started way back in 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.
Now, all these years later, the ageing, rock ‘n roll slackers return for a brand-new adventure, titled Bill & Ted Face the Music. Yep, Reeves and Winter are back for more party-time madness. As the synopsis tells us, ‘Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.’
The new official poster was revealed on the official Twitter page for the film, early on today.
Don’t stop shredding your axes just yet (as that still a thing?), because that’ not all the news we have. Not only do we have the new poster, but the official trailer is also due to drop, later on today, at 2pm UK time.
Bill & Ted Face the Music is directed by Dean Parisot (Justified, Fun With Dick and Jane), written by Chris Matheson (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey) and Ed Solomon (Now You See Me, Charlie’s Angels 2000), and co-stars Samara Weaving, William Sadler, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Erinn Hayes.
Barring any more problem, the film will be released in cinemas on the 21st, August this year. Look out for the trailer later on today.
