Bill & Ted Face The Music
Keanu Reeves and Bill Winter make their most excellent return to the mad adventures of Bill S. Preston, Esquire and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan (respectively) in the upcoming sci-fi comedy Bill & Ted Face the Music, 19 years after they last embarked in their Bogus Journey.
Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.
Take a look at the official first trailer.
Looks like Bill and Ted are going to be flung right back into the slacker madness that has captivated fans since their first outing - back in 1989 - in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Judging by the trailer, it looks pretty faithful and in-keeping with the original two. Whether this is your kind of thing or not, there’s no arguing that this is the tonic we all need right now. And who doesn’t love a bit of Keanu Reeves?
Bill & Ted Face the Music is directed by Dean Parisot (Justified, Fun With Dick and Jane), written by Chris Matheson (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey) and Ed Solomon (Now You See Me, Charlie’s Angels 2000), and co-stars Samara Weaving, William Sadler, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Erinn Hayes.
Barring any more problems, the film will be released in cinemas on the 21st, August this year.
